A Noon Test - is sounded daily at 12 noon, to ensure the EAS siren system is working. Call, (307) 334-2240, if you did not hear the test at noon in Lusk, Wyoming.

A Tornado or funnel cloud has been spotted within 10 miles or less from Lusk, Wyoming.

Manville EAS Siren sounds; Your Action is Required! In Manville, Wyoming.


 

The Noon test is a short siren burst - Sounded daily at 12 noon, to ensure the EAS siren is working.  Call (307) 334-2240, if you did not hear the noon test in Manville, Wyoming.

  Manville, WY Fire

Fire Siren - A wail that drops off and rises again after twenty-seconds.  This is a fire siren.

Indicates that a fire is burning in, or near Manville, Wyoming.

 

A Blairing Wail, that does not drop off indicates that a Tornado or Severe Weather is within 10 miles from Manville, Wyoming.  The siren will sound for one minute with a fourty second shut down growl.

Immediately, take shelter inside, away from windows, perferably in a basement or interior room on the lowest floor.

Remain in shelter until the All Clear has sounded.

May also indicate hail, one inch or larger, strong winds 58 mph or higher, or a flash flood in Manville, Wyoming.

  Manville Attack

The Attack siren is sounded upon notification of a National Attack Warning from Federal US National Homeland Security.

This is a siren wail for seven seconds and then repeates. The siren will sound for one minute.

ATTACK SIREN --

Take deep or hardened shelter. 

Tune to broadcast Radio or TV for information. Avoid using your phone at this time.

Remain in shelter until the all clear is sounded.

 

All Clear - A short siren burst, same as the Noon Test in Manville, Wyoming.

The threat has passed, it is now judged to be safe to recover from your shelter location in Manville, Wyoming.

Other areas of Niobrara County may still be endangered.

Stay away from damaged buildings, down power lines and gas leaks.

It is now okay to call emergency dispatch to report dangers at this time!

All of the EAS sirens, will be activated at the direction of Niobrara County Emergency Management, and key personnel designated in the protection of life and property in Niobrara County, Wyoming. 

The Attack Sirens will be sounded immediately; upon notification from Homeland Security that an attack is underway from enemies of the United States. This siren is part of the National, EAS Attack Warning system at a National level.

Citizen and visitors to Niobrara County, Wyoming should be aware of the EAS Siren system and the types of siren sounds.

Should an EAS siren sound; you must take action! To assist all citizens in understanding EAS Siren tones, this page has been created.

There are no, EAS sirens in the following areas of Niobrara County, Wyoming.  Keeline, Lance Creek, Van Tassell and Mule Creek Junction Rest areas do not have any public sirens at this time. The deploment of these sirens cost $10,000 per siren.
